Awesome intro to coding in a fun and relevant fiction story, with hands on computer exercises to learn and practice coding. Something kids will love to read and code along with the story over and over.I especially love that this book defies the stereotypes of predominantly male technology interests, and kids will see a female character as the coding expert. Plus some moral lessons for kids throughout the story.A great book (and hopefully series of books to come) for kids interested in STEM, or a tool to encourage confidence in STEM.
I bought the paper copy of the book because my kid loves holding a book in her hands. By using the authors website in the introduction page, she was able to code along with the story. My kid liked that it was coding activities that were happening to the character from the book. And as a parent I liked the story because it taught her basic coding vocabulary.
My children enjoyed this story. It was a fun adventure with great instructions on basic coding. I would certainly recommend this book as a fun read and as a educational too. Great for school libraries with STEM and tech labs!!
Good little book for my 7yo, I'll buy anything he will actually sit down and read.
This is a terrific book. It got a little tense, but Sam was able to figure it out. Structure, story line, and educational content all flowed seamlessly throughout the story. I'm waiting for the next adventure.Well done!
I specifically loved how the main character learned that being with friends in person is better than being with them through technology. I would definitely recommend this to a kid who is interested in coding.
Selfie Sam’s Coder Club Adventures in Scratch is a fantastic interactive book for young kids who have a curious mind! Coding is such an important skill for this generation and its great to see that incorporated into a childrens book!
Excellent book for my kid who's interested in coding. Good level difficulty and fun.
