About the Author
Jean Watanabe Hee is a retired elementary school teacher who taught in Hawaii for 34 years. While she loved teaching, she found a great satisfaction in being able to spend more time with her family and cooking in her kitchen. Hee began organizing great-tasting recipes that she had collected from family and friends over many years. Her first cookbook, Hawaii's Best Mochi Recipes, was a bestseller and led to her popular series of mostly easy-to-prepare local recipes.
